(though if you're feeling *ambitious* and want to avoid the "downtime",
you may be able to- depending on the hypervisor/virt you're using-
suspend the machine to disk/snapshot, migrate to another host that's
already patched, patch the old host, suspend/snapshot again, and move
back. technically, you haven't rebooted the guest....  though i'm
assuming you have no desire to do that if rebooting a couple hundred
guests is too workload intensive, as this would be quite a fair bit more
intensive. but hey, at least you'd get to keep that uptime clock!)
