Re: [PLUG] password safe |
In my "Used at least 2-3 times in any week" collection, I have three laptops, one tablet, one phone, two desktops. LUKS container is fine for two of those three laptops and the two desktops, but I don't think Android speaks LUKS, and I know OSX doesn't speak it.For me at least, this is why TrueCrypt was such a great solution, and why it's still in my toolkit. Nothing has truly replaced it yet, though some are getting close. On Mon, Jan 4, 2016 at 10:46 AM, Keith C. I keep anything I need to protect in it including security information. I can always move or copy it to another device as needed since it just a file.
So, my recommendation would be to use a LUKS container. I realize this is more spartan and a bit off topic than the other solutions mentioned but I have other needs in addition to remembering passwords so other people might as well.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Subject: Re: [PLUG] password safe___________________________________________________________________________I use Password Safe (https://pwsafe.org/), even though the Linux port is still unstable, the cross platform password-gorilla is file compatible with it and is available through apt on Debian/Mint/Ubuntu . The original author of Password Safe is Bruce Schneier. Since I'm mainly on Linux I guess I use Password Gorilla is really the answer.

Does anyone recommend a good password safe to use with Linux?
