Re: [PLUG] PLUG West tonight...cancel or go ahead?

Yea, you have to know how to drive in snow.  Most people don't but I grew on in NYC- and back then we were truly the city that never sleeps.  I stay off the roads mainly because other people can't handle this weather.

Also, Z-Chains... best thing you can get for this weather and they aren't that expensive for what you get.  When I had more of a performance car these things saved me more than once.  Emergency services uses them.

I'm aware of snow chains, snow tires, using cat litter to weigh down your back tires and how to drive in snow. However, I drove an 18 wheeler, and that kind of knowledge was practically required. I wish that student drivers would learn about those things, but unless they take driver training in snowy conditions, they will never learn until it's too late.

Sorry to hear West is cancelled.

Paul,

I am from Minnesota and have 4 wheel drive, so don't see the problem? :)

But I doubt there would be much of a turn out, so best to cancel.

Eric

So, PLUG West is scheduled for tonight. How do people feel about things?
(roads are quite icy in my neighborhood, I don't know how it is around
the rest of the area).

Cancel? Or go ahead?

If we decide to cancel, I want to get the message out ASAP.

Paul
