Re: [PLUG] old LVM version on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Well, the dependency lists are fairly short, you could probably manually source 2.02.160 from Yakkety. I don't find any PPAs with newer LVM2 for Xenial, though. Honestly, it's not that old, for a core component in a LTS release.

Ubuntu 16.04 still comes with a rather old version of LVM (2.02.133).  Versions under before aabout 2.02.150 lack the more up to functionality of LVM as well as some raid types (e.g. raid1 and raid0).  Its not a big deal to compile a newer version but before I install it I wanted to know if there was a way to check and see if a newer version was available- perhaps one that just isn't the "official" version(s) tracked for released.
