I agree, going with a PS-capable printer is the easiest way to ensure at least basic functionality from almost any system. I don't do a lot of printing, but I did get a good deal on a Xerox Phaser 3260/DI with extra toner about a year ago. I use it with my NetBSD box and my Fedora laptop with no trouble.
