I am so not surprised.  CentOS continues to be a p.i.t.a. for me.  Sometimes I have to count to 10 so I don't scream.

It seems that 'tuned', if installed, will set server performance to 
"balanced" (which is not good for servers) because it fails to find 
indications of server-ness on CentOS.  Oops.
