It seems that 'tuned', if installed, will set server performance to
"balanced" (which is not good for servers) because it fails to find
indications of server-ness on CentOS.  Oops.

I prefer Debian, but find CentOS is *much* less of a PITA than real Red Hat or <shudder> OEL.
