I just tested with the 'bash' package version 5.0-2: $ bash --version | head -n 1 GNU bash, version 5.0.2(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) A little digging with 'get-get changelog bash' shows that it was one of the packaged versions of bash 4.0 in which the build was changed to compile in support. It's not clear to me whether it was 4.0-4 or 4.0-5, though: <quote> bash (4.0-5) unstable; urgency=low ... * Don't configure with --disable-net-redirections. ... -- Matthias Klose <doko@debian.org> Sun, 13 Sep 2009 12:55:54 +0200 bash (4.0-4) unstable; urgency=low ... * Enable net redirections, now that bash isn't the default shell anymore. ... -- Matthias Klose <doko@debian.org> Sun, 23 Aug 2009 16:09:36 +0200 </quote> > Later, > JP > -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- > JP Vossen, CISSP | http://www.jpsdomain.org/ | http://bashcookbook.com/ Take care, -Al -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- a l a n d. s a l e w s k i salewski@att.net 1024D/FA2C3588 EDFA 195F EDF1 0933 1002 6396 7C92 5CB3 FA2C 3588 ----------------------------------------------------------------- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
