[PLUG] [plug-announce] Mon Dec 16 - PLUG West - "Getting Started With Proxmox" by Adam Schaible (7pm at ATS)

The Philadelphia Area Linux Users Group (PLUG) cordially invites you
to a PLUG West meeting on Monday, December 16 at ATS in Malvern, PA
from 7-9 pm.

This month, PLUG West welcomes back Adam Schaible, who will be
giving a talk entitled "Getting Started With Proxmox".

Proxmox VE (Virtualization Environment) is a Debian-based,
open-source server virtualization platform that allows you to
quickly provision Linux virtual machines using KVM and Linux
containers using LXC. It can be clustered across multiple servers in
an environment, has a flexible storage model, and a web-based
management interface similar to VMWare ESX. As powerful and
versatile as Proxmox is, it's actually very user friendly and easy
to install, which makes it a great way to learn Linux
virtualization. A short demo will follow the presentation.

This will be the last PLUG meeting of the 2010s. Thanks to everyone
who's come out and supported PLUG over the last decade!

It will also be the last PLUG West meeting until March 2020 as it
takes its traditional winter hiatus for MLK and President's Day
holidays.

Interested in Linux, BSD, and Free Software? Whether you're already an
enthusiast or want to learn more, come and join us! PLUG meetings are
free and open to everyone, and anyone who is curious is invited to
attend.

The meeting will be at the ATS office in Malvern, PA:

ATS Group & IBM Innovation Center
  1200 Atwater Drive, Suite 170
  Malvern, Pennsylvania 19355
