I'd suggest caution before blowing dust "out" of a fan with compressed air. Make sure that you're only sending the stream of compressed air in the same direction that air would normally flow due to the fan. I've heard (urban myth?) that blowing some fans in reverse at high-speed can cause damage, and sending the airflow in reverse may force dust further inside the laptop.
