[PLUG] Setting up ipv6 on ubuntu 20.04 |
Over the weekend I updated the firmware on my old Buffalo DD-WRT router, and discovered I now had ipv6 support! I enabled it and I've spent the past few days experimenting with it. Outgoing ipv6 seems to be working fine. However, I can only receive incoming ipv6 connections from within my LAN (basically, my laptop). DD-WRT has very few ipv6 settings so I thought it might be getting blocked by the firewall on my linux box. I enabled ufw and added a few rules for ssh and http. Unfortunately it's still not working. Has anyone ever tried this and gotten it working? As far as I can tell the packets aren't hitting my linux box. Are they getting stopped by DD-WRT? Or maybe Comcast doesn't allow incoming ipv6 connections? Walt
