Re: [PLUG] Epson Multi-function Support

I have an Epson ET4750. Had to reinstall the drivers a couple times in Ubuntu, not compiling from source, but it's a workable scanner.

I've had no problem with forms, had some issues scanning newspaper articles where the other side bled through and the scan picked up a pink tinge in the paper stock that I had to color-correct. Haven't tried it with any fine art though.

I've got to buy a large format ink jet printer.   Both HP and Epson have
similar offerings.   I've never been successful getting HP multifunction
scanners to work with Gentoo, but I've never tried an Epson printer.  It
looks like they offer source code for their drivers.

Anybody have any experience with Epson?  How about in a
compile-from-source environment?

TIA!
