   A penny a minute (in 2025 money; $0.001724 in 1976 money) is unlikely
to break the bank, aspecially when the line costs $0.85 a month.

   I believe you can do this with Asterisk, if you really want to. I
believe voip.ms will even let you connect it to your account. Their
services are already set up and not too expensive, but it is up to you.

   Yeah, connecting to POTS and associating phone numbers (DID) with it
are not so straightforward.
