Re: Meeting Format Feedback

Trotter's described my ideal event. It even incorporates the ideas that others have presented about hands-on work, should the evening's speaker prefer that format. An hour, hour and a half, then drinks and discourse would rock.

Also, definitely yes for lightning talks.
Some that I could do:
- How to draw a burn down chart and what they tell you.
- Asking for feedback
- Theory of Constraints, a brief demo.
What talks could other people do?

Cheers,

Bonnie

I like the idea about the Euler problem. Also, I don't think there's any need to fill a two and a half hour block. Let's instead do one hour talks, a few lightening talks if anyone is interested, and then go drink some beers and talk nerd.

As far as talk topics go, I feel like Aaron's been doing a pretty good job of finding good speakers to talk about interesting things. So... yea, keep that up :-)

2 presentations per meeting would be a bit much.

I like the idea of lightning talks or maybe a 10-15 min ad hoc
discussion on some current topic. I'd also be up for the exercise idea
that Matt suggested. Maybe just send a project euler problem to the
list a week or two before the meeting and anyone who wants to can
present their solution.
