Hi Arthur, There is a utility called magicfilter that creates the printcap functions that you need. It will set up a system that calls gs to print postscript files and etc. I have found this utility to be a "blessing" rather than trying to manually edit the printcap file manually. Most distributions have this utility, or else you can get the source and run make. ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/linux/sunsite/system/printing/magicfilter-1.2.tar.gz If your distribution does not have magicfilter you can get from the above address Have a good day -- 0 0 L & R Associates " Home Page: http://www.netaxs.com/~ldc/ _______ooO ~ Ooo_______________________________________________ LeRoy D.
