Hi All,
One of the easiest ways to see if the laptop will boot is to put a
bootdisk in the floppy drive and see what happens when you reboot. Make
sure that the bios is set to boot off of the floppy and then try booting
your machine with a Linux boot disk.
Some laptop bios won't allow you to boot off the floppy though. I ran
into an old thinkpad that wouldn't allow a floppy boot except for a ms
OS. I almost pulled out all of my remaining hair over this!
