Ok, I just solved this on my laptop, at least the oversized screen thing. I'm notexactly sure what the root cause was, but changing the driver using Xconfigurator worked. I was using the SVGA driver, and it kept setting the resolution to 640X480, and the desktop was HUGE, easily 4 times the size of the actual screenn. This is not including the other three virtual desktops, just the primary. I loaded the S3 driver, manually set the RAM size (4 meg), and let it autoprobe everything else. It wanted to set the default resolution to 1024X768X32 bits, but that didn't work. I manually set it to 1024X768X24bits, and it worked fine, beautifully in fact. If you like, I can email you my XF86Config. Peace, Vale _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
