[Plug] On D-town cablemodem access and the satellite idea

*grin* The number of AOL users here in D-town is pretty high..Everyone's
got it.."So easy to get online, so easy to use." Bah, I still say it
stinks. But I think you have a good point..If all of those people
decide to get cable modems from Suburban, there is going to be some
major bandwidth issues that will have to be dealt with...I want to get
the cablemodem access so I can ditch this slow dialin account, however,
if everyone decides to get a cablemodem, I'll have to think twice about
it...Maybe Bellatlantic's highway robbery ISDN rates will look
attractive *shrug*..And the prospect of a satellite DLUG off of the main
PLUG is one of great interest to me, considering it is tough for me to
get downtown for the meetings (I haven't been able to attend as of yet)
due to school and other such constraints..A DLUG would be great...If we
could find enough users to justify it and find a place to meet. There's
plenty of good restaurants here, along with the normal slew of fast
food, etc. If there are any other Linux users here, who are interested
in this (I know of three of us), perhaps we should investigate *shrug*.
