I'm trying to install Linux. The box has: 2 p6 200mhz cpus (very nice) 512mb of ram (also very nice) an adaptec scsi card (which is no problem, and a nice card). [here comes the kicker] it has a hardware RAID array. It's supposed to use the following driver: DAC960.0 I've done quite a few things to try to get the install to use this driver, everything short of re-creating the redhat boot disk (which I have so far stuck my own kernel on - which had the above driver built in, and attempting to load it using insmod after redhat gives up the shell on the second virtual terminal during the install) which I don't fully understand how to do. Does anyone know anything about how I might accomplish this? I'd rather not have to let the other guys put NT on it...I'd rather not give them the chance to grin smugly. can I be helped? k ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Crash programs] fail because they are based on the theory that, with nine women pregnant, you can get a baby a month. -- Wernher von Braun mortis@voicenet.com http://www.voicenet.com/~mortis ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
