Oh, you should pay a visit to XFree86.org. Edit the "Screen" section
of your XF86config. You want a viewport larger than your resolution.
Like, setup a 640x480 mode, then set your viewport to something
insane, like 1600 1200. Yeah... you'd definitely loose stuff on a
desktop  that size :)
Anyways, check the official docs, I kinda forget. If you read the
config file it might even say.
