<Darxus> SysRq's working for me <Darxus> (just got X installed) <Darxus> like... to switch from 1 virtual terminal to another, you do alt-Fn <Darxus> to switch from X to a virtual terminal, you have to do ctrl-alt-Fn, because X takes over the keyboard <Darxus> I just did alt-SysRq-r alt-Fn, and it worked Now I just have to make X blow up & see if I can recover w/out using my dumb terminal. I dunno, I'm optimistic. This thing's neat. alt-SysRq-s (sync) works under X, so I'm assuming Unmount & Boot will too, so I'd be able to shut down. __________________________________________________________________ PGP fingerprint = 03 5B 9B A0 16 33 91 2F A5 77 BC EE 43 71 98 D4 darxus@op.net / http://www.op.net/~darxus Find the next largest prime, be famous: http://www.mersenne.org/prime.htm _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
