I think that the reason you're getting some confusing answers is that
dedicated circuits and DSL are a little bit different.


DSL is typically delivered over a normal old phone line.  Keeping things
fairly simple, say all of your lines are from Bell Atlantic.  One of your
phone numbers is 555-2222.  You call up Bell's InfoSpeed DSL and say "I
want DSL service".  They say "What's your phone number?"  You say
"555-2222".  

Then your DSL service is delivered on that line.  You split the jack with
a $2 2 - 1 jack from radio shack.  In one jack you plug in your telephone
(it still rings when people dial 555-2222), in the other jack you plug in
your DSL modem and wire up your computer network.


So far as one bill, if this is all Bell Atlantic (for example), then yeah,
just one bill.  If you start using different people for different
services, they're all going to want to get paid...
