>I would consider the athelon, but I thought Intel has the 1ghz out as >well... hmm, oh well, my bad. The only thing I have against Athelons Intel just had to recall their 1.13GHz P-IIIs - they wouldn't work right. Check some of the tech news websites, or Tom's Hardware website for details. You might not be able to get a 1GHz from Intel. Also, don't they recommend their newest 810 chipset, if you do go with their 1GHz chips? are >their bus speeds. Sure, they are the fastest out there, going at 200mhz, >but doesn't that create a bottleneck with most ram going at 133mhz, maybe >a few manufactures of 150mhz, the athelon is therefore worthless because >the full potiental of the buss speed is hardly seen. Hardly worthless. Not totally efficient, perhaps. -- *-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-* Michael Leone <mailto:mleone@joemagee.com> PGP Fingerprint: 0AA8 DC47 CB63 AE3F C739 6BF9 9AB4 1EF6 5AA5 BCDF -- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
