And yes I was thinking of just getting a "duel" board now and using just one processor then for a upgrade... getting the second processor later. Thanks for the help! Something with flash BIOS upgrades, you can can upgrade the BIOS to take advantage of later processors. Mine is an Asus P2B - the BIOS upgrades let me move from a PII to a PIII. > > I think Anthony meant that he could easily upgrade to a full dual-CPU > rig later > by adding a second CPU to is dual-capable MB, and for now just get a > single. > > Todd > > >>> > Subject: > Re: [PLUG] Looking to buy new dual-processor system > Date: > Sun, 10 Sep 2000 21:03:21 -0400 > From: > Todd Yocum <odye@bellatlantic.net> > Reply-To: > plug@lists.phillylinux.org > To: > plug@lists.phillylinux.org > References: > 1 , 2 > > > > > Well, I've done alot of reseach on this lately, so I'll > share my results, fwiw. > > Here is one dual-CPU system included at the end that I just ordered, > just to give you a ballpark.
