I just noticed thinkgeek.com (online store with cool gadgets, t-shirts, sources of caffeine, etc owned by VA/Linux) is offering DSL service. Even more surprising, their provider is Speakeasy (my ISP). Anyway, the thinkgeek page contains the following descriptions: "Want mutiple static IP adresses? No problem! Planning on running some servers? As long as they ain't NT! (snicker) Got Quake pingus envy? Well we got 12 game servers in each POP! Have plans for launching a DDoS attack? Cool!!! Um, hey... wait... no. Enjoy pissing Lars off? No restrictions of what you download - 100% Napster friendly. Eat meat? No competition here, no carnivore plans either." It was kinda neat seeing thinkgeek (who I like) partnering with my ISP. Please note, I received no compensation for this, so lay off! :-) -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- | For translation:http://www.kluge.net/ungeek.html Version: 3.1 | http://www.kluge.net/ungeek.html GMU/PA/CS/IT d s+:++ a C++ UL++>$ P+ L++>++++ E W++ N++ o-- K w---$ O | M+ V--- PS+ PE Y+ PGP- t+ 5-- X R* tv-- b++ DI++ D+ G++ e+ h--- r+++ y++++ | My homepage: -----END GEEK CODE BLOCK------- | http://www.speakeasy.org/~beldon ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
