I would like to buy a laser printer that will work well in linux and can print at least 8ppm. Postscript would be preferable, but I don't care as long as I can get a good filter. I need to be printing lots of documentation. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh yeah, I'm looking to spend around $400.

Is this your documentation or someone else? In other words, how important is the output quality to you? Do you care about REAL Postscript vs. clones? Do you plan to share the printer with any other computers, either as a network printer or via SAMBA or lprd?
