Hmm, I didn't realize that VMWare needs SMP. Do note, though, that the config help says the following: If you say N here, the kernel will run on single and multiprocessor machines, but will use only one CPU of a multiprocessor machine. If you say Y here, the kernel will run on many, but not all, singleprocessor machines. On a singleprocessor machine, the kernel will run faster if you say N here. -- Bill Jonas | "In contrast to the What You See Is What You bill@billjonas.com | Get (WYSIWYG) philosophy, UNIX is the You http://www.billjonas.com/ | Asked For It, You Got It operating system." http://www.debian.org/ | --Scott Lee, as quoted by Lamb and Robbins ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
