Re: [PLUG] Searching for webhosting nirvana...

I have personally rather enjoyed http://www.nomonthlyfees.com/

Atleast back when I setup with them, I paid them $200 and now have lifetime hosting (200MB, unlimited bandwidth, many other features). SSH access was an additional one-time fee of $15 I think?

Hope that helps.

The site has been up and running for over 6 months now, and it is beginning to get a good amount of hits. The owner is also beginning to invest in advertising, and has signed some contracts with other sites that will bring 20,000+ hits a day to the site (currently it gets about 4000 unique visitors a day). Hovewer, the current load yields to about 10gig of transfer a month. So the new load will produce a lot more transfer than that a month.

And I have been very happy with LinuxWebHost, but since they do not allow "adult" material and that their plans are too costly for high traffic sites, I need to switch.
