        But itself, it doesn't!  It doesn't use any standard Unix/Linux 
package manager (unless you count tarballs ;), instead it uses it's own 
that it brought over from it's NeXTStep days.

        However, for folks wanting to work in the Unix side of Mac OS X, 
there are two projects that bring over the popular Linux ones - rpm and 
dpkg/apt.  So since we needed a topic for PADS, adn I've been playing with 
the dpkg one recently, I thought I'd talk about it.  Starting with a bit of 
overview about Mac OS X in general.
