Also take a look at Antiword(1).  It runs on all major platforms and
does a reasonably good job of decoding that doc.  It's an attempt at
MSWord2ps.  It's not perfect yet but it's getting there.

Microsoft provides a free Word Viewer(2) which unfortunately only runs
under windows.  But if you have a windows partition lying around, it's
a good way to read the odd Word doc without all the bloat.  It would
be real cool if it ran under Wine, but I've never tested it.
