[PLUG] Firewire Experiences?

Yo all, 

	I recently went on a firewire kick -- so far using it on my
Windows box. I was reading up on firewire support on Linux
(http://linux1394.sourceforge.net), and it appears that its supported for
use under linux. However, I'm courious if anyone has used it yet, and what
they think of it -- do you think its as good as it is under windows? 

I'm running on Kernel 2.4.2-2, Red Hat 7.1.
