well if you give it DVI i am sure it will never find the correct font ;)

yeah, the debug messages in ps2pdf are not always the best.  unfortunately it 
is the best we have on linux right now.

maby adobe will dip their feet into linux more than just Acrobat Reader some 
day but currently I am not holding my breath.
