I swapped in a new motherboard tonight. PII 266 to a Biostar PIII 866. All went smoothly. The only difference I see is that Linux boots and operates much faster. Especially KDE. I have 256K ram on it. Max 512K on this board. Any reason to have the full 512? This will primarily be used as a server - named, sendmail, apache, etc. Doug **************************** * Doug Crompton * * Richboro, PA 18954 * * 215-431-6307 * * * * doug@crompton.com * * wa3dsp@wa3dsp.ampr.org * * http://www.crompton.com * **************************** ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
