Re: [PLUG] OT- AS/400

Chris:

I have a friend who bought an AS/400 a few years ago. It was a great deal
(cost wise) on "onSale" or ebay or some other auction site. I helped him
get it from his parent's house to his garage... where it sits to this day.
He tells me that he cannot load Linux on it until he gets the IBM operating
system for it and THAT'S EXPENSIVE. Also, the OS is keyed to the serial
number of the box so you cannot just copy it from another AS/400.

This is second-hand information. He may be wrong.

Let us know what you find out!
