[PLUG] Interesting thread on SEUL-EDU mailing list...

It was sparked by the article [linked on slashdot] about how MS is pressuring
the school districts in Oregon and Washington to sign up for a licensing
scheme where the school pays MS a fee for every PC capable of running windows
on a yearly basis.

The first email is about 2/3rds of the way down this page:

  http://archives.seul.org/seul/edu/Apr-2002/threads.html

and has a subject of: "MS targeting schools for software audits..."

I thought some of the people on this list might find that discussion
interesting -- there is alot of good constructive discussion about OSS
and propritary software, and the viability of OSS in the school system.
