I had an Ultra 5 as a webserver and then bought a Blade 100 for this purpose and have regretted the decision the whole time. The Blade 100 is a slower machine overall, due to the cheap components they use (IDE HDD, PC133 RAM, etc.) Even though the Ultra 5 was 133MHz slower, CPU-wise, it still smoked the Blade when it came to server HTTP and FTP. So if that's what you want it for, don't buy a Blade 100; look for a cheap Ultra 5/10 on eBay or somewhere else. - -- - ------------------------------------------------------ << Tobias DiPasquale >> UNIX Software Engineer [Linux/BSD/UNIX/C/Java/Ruby] mailto:anany@ece.villanova.edu | web:http://cbcg.net/ - ------------------------------------------------------ Software engineers are not traditional engineers; they're rock stars. -- Greg Copeland, CTO of Cenzic -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iQEXAwUBPMmvttoc4r8dJvA2FAPs4AQAl/1hTpUz3v0dp1FTRXOGuvIGWeVW8zn4 dJVFClXYvEeQwtxHkLFUH3/ApyFEO3lVpVNCb2l3tdhmO0N+P5UqHZS6msq/aKel yLtEXeKkQ5ax4sNnMNC/3zVLPF+6UaF7lSC4Py0nNfAHIYMSi/UZ4VKd3pp2DHRX OpC7KMUoDmMD/2Um7QSqHebRmVOfSVhKB6oGtRQeAQJk632LPkGifq5eJQdXO+WD d9I7HrGhO1377EEBuT3BaQldpSH/wQ4HpunxXoBUXKJGSaasWQeIxLgAkLgnVFEg ILig3heP6jJSud01qIf8AKIZwdRet3TNF219Hgj4dthpmM3yKrfTyPm9 =dDHR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
