So sign up with Directv DSL.  Verizon line, external router, static ip. 
'course, I should mention I booted into windows to set mine up, but that
shouldn't be required.  Their install just needs your computer to run
dhcp to the modem/router box they ship you the first time you setup. 
(Actually, that might not even be necessary, as the setup sequence is
very predictable, but dhcp is the easy way.)
