I don't know what the problem is, but I have some questions.

Does it work if you ftp by IP address?

I dont have a web server so I was not doing it by web address, I was only checking to see if its working by IP address

Are the ftp ports being blocked by a firewall?

No, I have a firewall, I turned it off when attempting to connect.

Are you using a RPM packaged FTP server?

Yep, WU-FTPD version 2.6.2

Why don't use use sftp through port 22 instead of regular ftp?

Whats that? :P

In your other email you asked, if I log in as root, and that answer is no.

Also you asked if I was logging in from the net or from the lan, I am loggin from another machine on the LAN, but I am checking the public IP address
