ps ax | grep ftp yeilded nothing
ps ax | grep wu-ftpd yeilded nothing
ps ax | grep ftpd again, nothing
Try this: /sbin/service --status-all
You shouldn't see ftp listed if it is started by xinetd, but you should
see xinetd!
xinetd (pid 1399) is running...
If you can't ftp by IP address from a local prompt to the local ftp
server, the service is wacked. (I wouldn't trust the Win2k ftp client.)
