The same with Libranet. I just changed apt sources to point to 
standard Debian unstable (instead of testing), and retained the 
Libranet specific apt source (for their adminmenu software).

The Libranet installer is not as graphically slick as Mandrake/RedHat 
(it's still text-mode, except for the XFree 86 test), but it has 
correctly auto-detected for me on 3 different hardwares.
