Cant say for the newer windows (w2k) since when i tried to samba for a friend, they can't browse the shares although they can mount the samba shares from windows. I'm not sure what those other ports on your motorolla are for though, but i would think you cannot connect your other machines there since that would imply your be getting other IP addresses from your isp. I sortof remember being offered by my isp, comcast, for extra ip addresses but they'll have to send me a hub (for expanding the ports on the cable modem). so anyway, using any other ports on your cable modem side would imply another internet IP address for you, thats why you need to Nat/Masq your just one ip address. Unless your ISP gave you a couple of other ip addresses..then thats another setup. have fun, jondz/epike _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
