A friend reported the same thing. > My father just used a kit like this I'll check it out, thanks. Wonder if there's any difference. I hooked up my existing HP712C, which was acutally supported by Debian. When I say supported, I mean there was an entry for it. It refused to do anything in the way of printing though. Wouldn't do a test page. I read that this series was a special case (PPA? I forget)but there were drivers. Tried sharing it off the W2k box with the same results. I'm thinking driver. In case anyone else is interested, HP seems to be supported much better than the rest, including the multifunction machines. _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
