The linux router project was replaced by The Linux Embedded Appliance Firewall project (leaf.sourceforge.net/index.php?menu=1). The basic lrp code was forked into a couple of different packages. I had a lrp setup a couple of years ago and it worked fine. The newer packages are supposed to be easier to setup.
