Did you do a text install?
But the darn thing won't do more than 640x480. This was pretty well documented when Googled appropriately. XFree86 doesn't work. Took the Red Hat defaults. Doesn't matter. The install wasn't b0rked. Dell shipped a video chipset that wasn't yet supported by XFree86. Although I don't like rh's business practices, I don't think that this is Yep. I'm not holding any ire towards Red Hat or Linux in general. But I do place blame on Dell for shipping hardware that is only supported under MS. Are you sure you have the model right?
