On the positive side they did pay you, didn't they? Would it have been better for you if the company paid RedHat instead of your self? If the cost is deferred and not much higher, isn't it better to employ people than to use technology to displace human expertise?
I had the joy of doing a lot of consulting work for a cheapskate shop. That is, a shop where they wouldn't spend money up front on things and end up paying for it later in hidden costs down the road (i.e. higher human resources costs). One of the things that worked relatively well was the use of apt-rpm instead of rhn/up2date. _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
