I got my R32 with Debian Linux going a couple of weeks ago, and
everything is swimming.

The major glitch was me not knowing I had to completely reboot my cable
modem before I stuck it in a new machine. Once that happened, I was
able to configure networking, etc. immediately. I used the CDs to
install, which gave me Debian 'stable'. I upgraded to 'testing' and
then used an existing XF86Config~4 file (linked to off www.linux-
laptop.net) to get my video going.

www.linux-laptop.net was last updated 10 Feb 2003, but it's a good
resource for not only recent models, but what models have historically
worked well with Linux and what tweaks have been necessary.
