In my experience and research and whatnot I'de say that SuSe, and 
Mandrake favor kde to Gnome. Redhat tends to favor Gnome to kde. They 
package them both and they look the same but Redhat doesn't do the best 
job of packaging kde and certainly not the best job of keeping up with 
new releases. (again, just my opinion).

I prefer the european distros because of their favorable kde support and 
because Im a kde nerd. That said, I've been using Gentoo quite happily 
for about a year now.

I don't want to start a desktop jihad but I like kde (as do alot of 
reviewers) as the best possibility for a corporate desktop replacement.

Your mileage may vary.
