-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This past weekend I noticed that some of Debian testing was broken, possibly from the root kit that was installed on the Debian servers. In upgrading my systems I had to revert to manually running dpkg to get the system in a stable state. I think that Mike is experiencing the same problems Suggested approach: Before upgrading or removing any packages: rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/* apt-get update This should fix any corrupted files in the downloaded lists There may still be spome problems with some of the packages so that you might have to run dpkg manually on some. I found that I had to do this to make the system once again stable. - -- Rev. LeRoy D.
