Has anyone tried running kid > games that require a resolution shift to 640x480 and 256 colors? i believe winex was written specifically with direct-x based games in mind. they have a list somewhere on their website of supported (and the extent to which they're supported) games. however, to get a working copy, you have to shell out a monthly subscription fee (they give anonymous cvs access, but i've _never_ had a sucessful build with it). on the flipside, the winex development process is run directly from the feedback of the subscribed users, and for every subscription you have, you get a vote into what they should focus on supporting next, which i think is kind of neat. plus, subscribers get access to prepackaged binaries (.deb's, .rpm's), which i've seen work very well first-hand. sean Attachment:
