Right > now, if I restart X, for example, I will get a different display > resolution (until I manually restore my old X config). unfortunately the configuration syntax in XF86Config-4 is less than machine readable, so there's no way for debconf to automatically figure out what your configuration is. your best bet is to open up a copy of your current config, and use that as a basis for answering debconf's questions when you dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86, or just manage the file manually. sean Attachment:
